John D. McClellan, Managing Director

John D. McClellan is a Managing Director at THL and a leader within the firm’s Strategic Resource Group. Prior to joining THL, Mr. McClellan was President and CEO of Sprague Energy Corp. from 2003 to 2008. Prior to that, Mr. McClellan was President of EPIK Communications. Mr. McClellan also worked 16 years at Monitor Group, where he was on the Board of Directors, CEO of Monitor’s software division, Regional Operations Officer for the North American and Asian practices, and a leader in the cost management and wargaming consulting practices.
Mr. McClellan holds a B.A. in Political Economy from Williams College, and an M.B.A., with High Honors, from Harvard Business School.
Mr. McClellan is a founding board member and Treasurer for Nashoba Learning Group, Inc., a school for children with autism, and a founder of Athletes Racing for Charity
